Staff Pick Notes

This is a great classic example of Valpolicella Ripasso. Grapes used for the "more famous" brother Amarone are reused and added to the regular wine making process. This is a family-run company, where every member of the family is responsible for part of the production, from grape growing to accounting. On the nose you can smell tobacco, leather, and vanilla. On the palate you may notice dark cherries and raisins. The finish is long with lingering notes of spice. After that, you'll want to have another sip! This wine is, in its full body and concentration, very similar to an Amarone, and at a better price point. Pair with pasta dishes, meats, and aged cheeses. Delicious!
