A bone dry Chenin Blanc that was fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral barrels for 3-4 months. hand-harvested grapes fermented with indigenous yeasts. Winemaker Leo Hansen was born and raised in Denmark then moved to California. He made his first vintage of Chenin in 2006 and never looked back. Fittingly, Steen is also his family’s middle name and it is the South African word for Chenin Blanc.
