Staff Pick Notes

While I must admit to some bias going in, (my father's name was Stafford, and my middle name is Stafford), when I opened up this Pinot Noir my expectations were exceeded. Classic Willamette Valley Pinot at a tremendous value, with trademark notes of peppery dark cherries, subtle hints of vanilla and tobacco, and just a touch of oak. Sourced from the same vineyards as its parent label Holloran, this Stafford Hill is fresh Oregon Pinot Noir done right at a reasonable price point. Something of this quality could easily go for $35+, so getting it at this price is simply a steal. I served it alongside some pork chops and it was perfect, but it'd pair wonderfully with any kind of bird as well.
