Staff Pick Notes

Aligoté is still one of the great unsung grapes of the Hexagon. Vaudoisey-Creusefond's bottling is a wine meant for early drinking and it's extremely appetizing. Once ubiquitous in Burgundy, phylloxera was a death knell to this variety. Sourced from the climat of Les Blanches, the youngest of the vines were planted in the 1970s. Aged on the lees, and rested in barrel for 12 months, this wine strikes a beautiful balance between unctuousness and racy acidity. Lemons, almond, and light white flowers, it's classic white Burgundy in a different light.
