Rye, perhaps what this centuries old and newly revived distiller is most famous for, gets some special treatment here with a secondary finish is barrels made of heavily toasted Kentucky Oak staves that had first been air dried for 18-24 months allowing the elemants to season them as only nature can. A beautiful expression of complexity in an already good whiskey. Part of a series of limited annual releases from Pepper.
