Another home run from Kyle Maclachlan's Pursued By Bear imprint. This red blend is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with some Syrah and Merlot thrown in. It's a rich wine with excellent depth. The Bear Cub boasts delicious notes of dark fruits, dark chocolate, tobacco, and black coffee - as black as midnight on a moonless night. The grapes are sourced from eight different vineyards from across South Central Washington State, the region where Kyle grew up. But this isn't your average celebrity passion project, the man is knowledgeable and hands-on during the winemaking process, and it shows in the wines' quality, drinkability, and complexity. While "what I want and what I need are two different things," I both want and need this wine in my life, and so do you.
