As quirky as the label of this wine is, it was made for me, you, and Merlot lovers all around (maybe ants too if they drank wine). As a native of Provence, Jean-Marie Rimbert arrived in the Languedoc- Roussillon and worked to save up enough money to purchase his own parcels to cultivate wines with the utmost respect to the land. He works to express wines that truly represent how multi-faceted the region is as a whole. Purchasing grapes, tended to by a former apprentice, Rimbert's Merlot bottling is a plush, easy-drinker that displays a profile of plum, boysenberry, berry jam with a cooling menthol and herbaceous note on the finish. The refreshing acidity makes this a pleasure to pick up and continuously come back to, so don't let the ant do the lifting for you, it may just run away with your glass.
