The red Braucol grape is from the southwest of France and renders a colorful wine - in this case a ruby-hued sparkler that finished it's fermentation in bottle. The Braucol vines are planted in limestone soils. After hand-harvesting, the fruit was fully destemmed which contributes to the lively fruit character you'll find on the palate. Plus, there was zero sulphur added to this wine. Winemaker Marine Leys is a talented and promising new winemaker who installed herself in the Gaillac region of southwest France in 2012.
