Bling Nova Vodka by Matchbook Distilling Co.

Item # 43142 750mL

Bling Novas, the cosmic events apparently responsible for the creation of all of the gold, platinum and other precious metals in the universe, lends its radiance to the name of this vodka. Made from organic corn grown at an independent farm in the Finger Lakes, the grain is milled, mashed, fermented and distilled at the distillery on the North Fork of Long Island. The character of the grain shows through in the finished vodka with its slightly sweet cornbread aromas and the elegant, soft texture on the palate and slightly earthy flavors.

Staff Pick Notes

This eye grabbing vodka comes from female distiller Leslie Merinoff-Kwasnieski in Long Island, NY. She established Matchbook Distilling by lobbying for legislation that, simply put, allows an average joe to have custom spirits created for them with NY agricultural products (think your own gin for your home bar tailored to your preferences). Thankfully, the Bling Nova Vodka is produced in quantities for us all to enjoy. Rich and smooth, with a suggestion of sweetness from Long Island's famously delicious corn, this vodka is a great pick for your next vodka soda or martini. They kept it simple by focusing on high quality grain, and a distilling process that, while still a "neutral" spirit, retains the best qualities of the spirit's origin.

No longer is our fair state synonymous with Concord grapes and Manischewitz; look for brilliant iterations of Pinot Noir, Riesling, Cabernet Franc,...
