Scotch, Scotch, Scotch...Down into my belly. Seriously though, the Benromach 15 year Speyside Whisky, introduced to the Benromach line-up in 2015, is a lusciously rich Speyside single malt. This 15 year-old Whisky is a fruity, chocolatey lightly smoky dram. Matured in a mixture of ex-sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks, with a greater emphasis on sherry than the Benromach 10 Year Old. This Whisky spend an additional 5 years in Oloroso sherry casks, the extra aging gives the whisky a mahogany color and a deep, resinous sherry character. Aromas of sweet toffee, rich forest fruits and dried apricots lead into a slight peat note. The palate is creamy with notes of sweet with ripe apples and an undertone of charred oak. History:Distillation was brought to Scotland from Ireland by missionary monks in the 6th century.
