A new brand to the States but very old school mezcal is what's in the bottle thankfully. This special ceremonial bottling is typically created in a "pechuga" style but here the chicken is replaced with wild hare and supplemented with the heirloom fruits and botanicals of the season. The agaves were cooked with local pine and mesquite wood and double distilled in earthen clay pots by Maestro Mezcalero Gonzalo Martinez Seinas. The flavors are deep and profound with a singular combination of fruit and earth.
