There is funk and fruit in equal measure on this beautiful Jamaican rum. This release comes from rums distilled exclusively in 2015 and matured for 5yrs, both in Jamaica and Europe prior to bottling at a natural cask strength of 57.4% abv. This could easily be held up as the archetype of Jamaican rum; impossible to mistake this for anything else. The heady tropical notes follow the palate from start well into the impressively long finish. Available in limited quantities.

Cocoa, dates, funk, tropical fruits aplenty—what doesn't this navy strength bottling of Worthy Park rum have? It's even taken a few trips before arriving in the store here, as it has been aged both in Jamaica and Europe in oak casks. Worthy Park is a major sugar cane producer, but stopped distilling their own rums in 1962. In 2004 they ramped up production once again, luckily for us! Distilled in Forsyths pot stills from Scotland, this is a globalized product if there ever was one. Worthy Park uses the dunder left over after the distillation process to fertilize their fields, as opposed to some other distilleries that add it to their mashes. If you are new to the high ester funky notes of Jamaican rums, welcome! If you are familiar with the deliciously feral tones, please enjoy!
