Ch. Dauphine, Fronsac - 2018

Fronsac is located in the eastern part of Bordeaux and is an appellation for wines based on Merlot. This comes from vines planted on clay, limestone and silt soils. The fruit was destemmed, pressed and fermented in steel tanks. After, the wine aged in French oak barrels (25% of which were new) for a year before bottling.

La Dauphine vines are planted in the Fronsac appellation, where Merlot is the predominant grape. This wine delivers classic Merlot aromas and flavors: on the nose you'll notice dark fruits and spices. On the palate, you'll enjoy fruit cake and licorice notes. Smooth tannins are very well integrated with a bright acidity. A pleasant long finish completes the experience. The vineyards are treated with organic and biodynamic practices without the use of pesticides and chemicals. An affordable and delicious wine with a lot of layers and a lovely freshness.
