Angel's Envy Astor Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

One of the things we pride ourselves on here at Astor is our selection of single barrels. These are specifically hand picked by our spirits buyer and are exclusive to us. Our latest is from Angel's Envy, which has developed a following for its unique aging regimen of charred American oak followed by ruby port barrels. It's a blending of New World and Old, dry and sweet, wood and fruit that gives the bourbon a distinct character. Bottled at cask strength, this bourbon leads with heady aromas of warm baking spices (cinnamon and clove), toffee, and baked apple. On the palate it's much drier and leaner than you might expect with charred oak, caramel, toasted hazelnuts, and hints of dried fruit on the finish. The downside of an Astor barrel though is that once this sells out it's gone, so get it while you can.
