Medium-bodied with voluptuous plum fruit. As is so typical of Barbera, this is dangerously easy-drinking. A bottle for those who crave a red with substance without a highly tannic backbone. Unoaked.

Wine, however, is about pleasure, which should trip the switch of our emotional centers and light up the cells of your right brain. There's no question which side this barbera from Brovia appeals to. Aromas of bright red fruit entice from the start, with soft dark fruit on the palate and just the right tannic edge. A pure expression of grape and place, it's fresh and eminently gulpable. Once you start sipping you won't want to stop. It's an easy wine to love, one to keep by the case and pull out for effortless casual dinners with friends.
