Staff Pick Notes

As the march towards outdoor cooking and al fresco dining continues, consider this: Silverado is an incredibly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon to pair with any grilled fare. I decanted it, which I highly recommend. I often assume (incorrectly) that most Napa Cabs are very ripe and jammy, but none of that comes across here. My initial impression? Tangy barbecue sauce, wisps of smoke, incense, lavender, and fantastic dark fruit notes to support the savory ones. The alcohol and oak are extremely well integrated into the overall picture. If you tend to overlook Napa Valley wines because you think they are not your thing, dispel the stereotype with this bottle!
