Ladoix, a small commune in the Côte de Beaune is noted for its charming, earthy Pinot Noir and good value. The Cornu family has been entrenched in Ladoix since the 1870s and know the terroir exceptionally well. Bois Roussot, a 1er Cru patch of younger vines that makes a wine with charmingly, rustic notes of red currants. It makes a perfect partner to warming stews and the regional cheeses of Burgundy.
