Tasting Notes

An exquisite white Burgundy made from 100% Pinot Blanc planted in 1969. Claire Naudin officially took the Domaine Naudin Ferrand in 1994, and quickly shaped it to her own personality and style. She tends her vineyards without chemicals and ferments with native yeasts. Both her red and white wines can be cellared for years or enjoyed today.

Staff Pick Notes

"When life gives you lemons..." is one of the oldest of old tropes, but it's truly fitting for Claire Naudin's new cuvée, "Galanthus Nivalis." It's the name of a lovely white flower, but also translates to "snowdrop," a fitting term considering how this unique Pinot Blanc came about. In 2016, Burgundy was hit with a wicked frost, which knocked out all of Naudin's Chardonnay grapes. It's a wine of substance and depth but with an electrifying acidity that makes it feel fresh and alive. A fluke of nature at its best.

Fans of rich, unctuous, and well-oaked Chardonnay will enjoy Chassagne-Montrachet, whose age-worthy offerings offer all the fatness...
