Staff Pick Notes

I’d been wondering about this wine for quite some time before at last having the pleasure. It is no surprise that the legendary winemaker Giuseppe Quintarelli, though more renowned for his Amarone, should also produce a stunning white. The wine itself, however, IS full of surprises. A waft of fresh white flowers, honeydew, quince & a faint sprinkle of nutmeg precedes a rich mouthfeel, more yellow fruits, and a faintly honeyed yet crisp mineral finish with a lingering note of Sweetgrass. Serve with pork chops and carmelized onions. Francesco Grigoli has quoted his grandfather as saying, "the best things come from mixing"..."a little bit and a little bit." This blend of garganega, trebbiano, sauvignon blanc, and chardonnay is a delightfully fresh and youthful homage to the master.

It is a flexible, eager-to-please grape, responding well to just about anything a winemaker...
