Tasting Notes

Located in the town of Skradin, this is made from a blend of local red varieties: Babich, Lasin and Plavina. Aged in American oak for 12 months, there’s a generous amount of mixed berry fruit aromas that are somewhat reminiscent of a medium-bodied Syrah.

Staff Pick Notes

If you do one thing today, buy this wine! Bibich Riserva 6 has a bit of a cult following among those in the know, and it's justified. Notes of dark cherries and buttered plums are dusted with an intriguing layer of medieval spice—cinnamon, white pepper, paprika. The rich fruit is tempered by a delicate musk, bringing hay and hazelnuts on a summer breeze. Medium-bodied, with a lively bright acidity and spice on the palate, this is a balanced wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes. I'd drink it with roast pork, tomato pasta, or Moroccan lamb. A slightly wild streak comes to the forefront as the wine opens up—it is a thrill to experience this wine evolve in the glass. An utter gem from the Adriatic!
