Pinot Blanc Reserve, Boxler - 2015

Item # 20072 750mL

A dry, old-vine white wine made from the Pinot Blanc grape that's rich and concentrated with white floral fruits. Alsatian wines of this caliber are a rare treat and are meant to be enjoyed at the table with equally rich cuisine. Rich in the sense of fish and light meats especially.

Staff Pick Notes

One of the most exciting wines from Alsace, Boxler’s 100% Pinot Blanc is a very rare experience fully worthy of your attention. Boxler is known for their attention to detail, in addition to their organic practices and natural fermentations. Grown on the Grand Cru vineyard Brand (which translates into “Fire” from German), this grantic cirque creates intensely powerful wines that are both richly textured and weightless. Legend has it that a dragon fought the sun on this very land, lost, and was banished underground. Nowadays, the heat from the dragon is felt on the floor of the vineyard long into the evenings. The waxy, oily texture of this wine is already unique, but the orchard fruits and flowers present will excite you and pair exceptionally well with Honey Walnut Shrimp!
