Oddero is one of the oldest and respected Barolo producers. After thirty months of aging in French oak, the wine spends a year aging in bottle before release. Cocoa and violets greet the nose while the palate is balanced and engaging if somewhat stern in its youth. The wine really shows off after 5-10 years of aging. Decanting is advised if drinking now.
