The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is not a place that springs to mind when considering fine wine options, but I'm telling you it should be! This wine is not only a Grand Cru, or Premier Cru, but a Grand Premier Cru. Old kingdoms just love an honorific, and the wines get the Duke's treatment as well. Wine has been made here since the Romans invaded, so there has been ample time to hone the craft. The banks of the Moselle River provide the perfect growing conditions for varieties most commonly seen in Germany and Alsace. This splendid Pinot Gris has so much to offer. Hand harvesting, fermentation in stainless steel and oak, aging on the fine lees, and expert craftsmanship a delicious wine make. Prost!
