Staff Pick Notes

Ghost Pines is an interesting expression of Cabernet because its a blend of grapes from three different counties in California. I was incredibly pleased with the complexity and depth this wine offered for such a modest price. On the palate you'll find a wealth of vanilla (as you would expect from a Cali Cab), along with a plethora of dark cherry and berry flavors. As this wine opens up, I discovered more layers of plums, figs and coco. A very easy to drink, velvety smooth Cabernet with great balance and mouth feel. Easily one of my favorite Cabs at this price point. This is a bottle I'll definitely be keeping around the house.
