The Rare Wine Company's Savannah Verdelho Madeira nails all three of these characteristics. If time allows, let this sit in the glass for a few minutes; The bouquet becomes quite expressive. On the nose, this fortified wine exhibits notes of brown sugar, molasses, walnuts, and a touch of roasted lemon. On the palate, wow! An explosion of unexpected freshness and acidity that carries all of the sweeter notes through to a long finish of toasted almonds and more citrus notes. This is a beautiful example of Madeira that should definitely be a part of your collection!
