Tasting Notes

Popular in the American Northeast and Midwest, this white grape hybrid produces extremely aromatic white wines. Winemaker Staci Nugent offers this delicately dry example that’s brimming with white flowers and shale minerals with a clean, crisp end.

Staff Pick Notes

An excellent dry white wine from New York state's Keuka Lake Vineyards. 60 miles south of Rochester, NY you'll find this modest yet gorgeous lakeside winery making premium wine with sustainable practices. Vignoles is a hybrid grape variety made by crossing Pinot de Corton with another hybrid grape known as Seibel 6905. The result is a beautifully fragrant white wine that I could honestly drink any day of the week. Made with minimal intervention, this Vignoles just glistens and shines with freshness, crisp acidity, floral citrus, and stony minerality not unlike a top flight German Riesling. The grape name may sound French but it's essentially native to and made in the good ol' US of A. It's great wine at a bargain price, so give it a whirl, you'll be glad ya did.
