Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, Pierre Bonhomme - 2018

Item # 25301 1.5L

Sauvignon Blanc varies widely depending on the soil, the climate and everything you do in the vineyard and winery. Consider this the purists version, from soils that are planted on clay and limestone and from 35 year old vines. Aged in 222L old barrels and vats for around a half year. Pleasure, pleasure and more pleasure that you should share as this comes in a magnum-sized bottle.

Staff Pick Notes

Grab your bathing suit, a smash ball & racket, and an oversized pair of sun glasses because you're about to experience paradise in your mouth! This wine is so amazing that I need to tell the world. I have to shout it from the mountain tops and let the people of the world know what the they are missing! This bottle is the cats- meow; a life-altering, mind-blowing experience. This is the kind of bottle I am shipping to my people across the USA because they need it in their lives, THEY NEED IT! This wine reminds me of studying abroad in Australia and discovering passion fruit. This is passion fruit water but no residual sugar, delicious, sustainable, beautiful, elegent, life giving, happy tear drop, crisp, uplifting, dreamy passion fruit water!

There’s a lot to remember when it comes to the Loire. Novices, take note: Cabernet Franc is a great alternative to Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscadet is unparalleled as a companion to shellfish, and Cour Cheverny is the best white wine appellation you’ve never heard of.
