Tasting Notes

This brilliant Pinot Noir rosé sparkler beguiles, with bright cherries and lots of pink grapefruit acidity. Crisp and lip-smacking for a summer day. Enjoy with herbed salads, light chicken and fish dishes, or just for fun on its own.

Staff Pick Notes

I am a firm believer that there are few occasions that would not be improved by an easygoing, delicious bottle of sparkling rose. The other day, I was spending a Sunday afternoon cleaning out a particularly neglected and overfilled closet, and I opened this bottle to help brighten the task. It worked marvelously! This is a delicious and easy drinking wine from negociant Patrick Piuze. I have been a fan of his incredible terroir driven Chablis for some time, and this foray did not disappoint. Piuze brings his focus, elegance, and precision to this affordable sparkler. It shows delightful cherry and raspberry flavors from the 100% Pinot Noir. This wine is brut nature, though 9 months on the lees give it a pleasant weight and texture on the palette.

Pinot Noir

The Burgundy region of northeastern France is the historic home of the Pinot Noir grape, and is the source of the world’s greatest examples. Here one finds renditions of Pinot Noir that deliver power with finesse and grace, wines that have unimaginable depth of flavor, yet are perfectly balanced and ephemeral in the mouth - in short, wines that deliver all that Pinot Noir has to offer. Terroir,...

In Chablis, Chardonnay is left unoaked to produce lean, crisp, steely wines with incredible acidity - a far cry from the vanilla-oak bombs that so many consumers associate with this grape. Fans of rich, unctuous, and well-oaked Chardonnay will enjoy Chassagne-Montrachet, whose age-worthy offerings offer all the fatness...
