Cahors "Les Camille" Vieilles Vignes, Clos Siguier - 2019

Item # 30367 750mL

This well-structured Malbec has so much potential in the cellar, but is difficult to resist drinking today. From 80-year-old vines, there is depth, weight, and tannin, all that you expect from the Southwest. A fine selection for a very traditional cassoulet or any rustic, hearty stews.

Staff Pick Notes

When searching for authentically made wines that speak to their terroir, this Malbec from Cahors checks all the boxes. Made from 80-year-old vines that are the oldest on the property and with the avoidance of chemicals in the vineyard, plus native yeasts during fermentation, its pure sensory experience is one we're lucky to experience. The limitation of sulfites also helps bring about a depth to this wine as does the fact that it is unfiltered (more flavor)! On top of that, it is not “funky.” For those looking for an affordable natural wine that is full of earthy dark fruits, give the Les Camilles a try for your next roast!
