This liter bottle is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese that is grown organically by brother and sister, Giacomo and Flavia Rallo. The vineyard is planted in sandy volcanic soil on the north slope of Mount Etna at high altitude. Grapes are hand harvested, fermented with native yeast and aged for 12 months in old Slavonian oak barrels.
