Les Barnabés is a single vineyard parcel held by Olga Raffault. The Cabernet Franc vines are grown on sandy-gravelly soils with less limestone than Les Picasses. This wine spent less time in foudre before release; it makes a very pretty and elegant Chinon, approachable in youth, but eminently ageable.

Domaine Olga Raffault is world-renowned for mastering Cabernet Franc and making classic Chinon wine. This is a lighter style Cabernet Franc coming from a sandy and gravelly site called "Les Barnabes." It is meant to be drunk while young, as the wine does less aging before bottling than other main sites, "Les Picasses" or "Les Peuilles." Easy and pleasant, freshness is key to this wine. Red berries mixed with violets are among the first notes you get. The smooth tannins make it an elegant wine. A fine wine to enjoy anytime, anywhere.
