Staff Pick Notes

Ploussard is a French grape, mostly planted in Jura wine region. The name Ploussard is used mainly around the town of Pupillin, but can appear on wine labels throughout Jura. This dark-skinned grape produces very pale-colored red wines. From 30-year-old vines planted in clay-limestone soils, these low yielding vines are selectively hand-harvested in early September and allowed to macerate for 15 days, followed by a 10-day fermentation and 10-month aging, both in stainless steel. Super easy drinking, everyday table wine that pairs with anything fresh and green from the garden or from your favorite farmers market.
