Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon - 2019

As the cool air begins to set in, I find myself craving hearty stews and California reds.Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon from the Anderson Valley is a beautiful example of a hefty red wine that drinks as well on its own as it does with a meal. Ripe black fruits initiate the palate with beautiful cassis, black cherry, and blackberry, followed closely by Cabernet's characteristic green pepper hints. Though ripe fruit "drives the bus," this wine remains delightfully well-balanced with tastes of vanilla, baking spices and some cedar through the finish. Silky tannins create a wonderful mouth-feel as a moderate acidity and full body carry just enough heat to warm you through. This wine will pair fantastically with any red meat dish, but especially braised meat dishes like a succulent short rib or leg of lamb. Perfect for a cold evening by the fire.
