The most important wine of the estate, the Dolcetto for the top wine is sourced from parcels found in prime positions, as well as the oldest vines of the estate. The seven-year wait from harvest to release reflects the importance of the San Fereolo.

Yes, this beautiful wine is made from 100% old-vine Dolcetto in the Dogliani village, which is located immediately south of Barolo in the Langhe region. Nicoletta Bocca started the conversion to organic/biodynamic 30 years ago when she bought the estate. Only released after nearly 7 years of aging both bottle and barrel, this is a truly special and unique wine. While the wine is recognizable as Dolcetto with the classic upfront fruit, the evolution the wine has gone through takes "the light sweet one" to another level entirely.

The most famous grape in Piedmont is the noble Nebbiolo, which makes the long-lived Barolo and Barbaresco. Dolcetto

A red grape variety grown in Piedmont and nearly nowhere else. Dolcetto-based wines are not sweet, as many people might surmise on hearing the name; the Piedmontese declared it "dolce" only because it is lower in acid than the wines they're used to. Dolcettos are usually meant to be enjoyed young. Some of the best ones come from the area around the town of Alba.
