Tasting Notes

A field blend of red and white grapes from the Douro Valley. This wine is light on it's feet with bright red fruit notes and lithe minerality, reminscent of Pinot Noir. Best enjoyed lightly chilled. Tiago Sampaio is the face behind Folias De Baco combining wine tradition of the Douro, the teachings and the passion transmitted by his grandfather and scientific knowledge acquired during academic training abroad.

Staff Pick Notes

Portuguese winemakers are absolutely killing it! If you're looking for a bright, light, expressive summer wine, look no further than this little gem. Made by innovative young winemaker Tiago Sampaio, this blend defies convention. Renegado is a blend of both red and white indigenous grapes, including Gouveio, Viosinho, and Rabigato. Tiago is from Douro and became interested in farming as a child, but he actually learned to make wine in Oregon. His love of his native land and passion for experimentation shine through in this creative cuvee. Best enjoyed with a light chill, you'll find fresh red fruit, springs of woody herbs, and a crisp finish. An easy choice for your next evening on the roof.
