Staff Pick Notes

Crafted from carefully selected grapes and utilizing small lot fermentations to focus the varietal character, Twenty Rows produce wines of exceptional quality. Their North Coast Cab is no exception. Reaching up California's coastline and into the valleys north of San Francisco, the North Coast AVA includes Marin, Solano, Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake. While Napa and Sonoma enjoy most of the glory, the rest produce no shortage of quality wines in a diverse range of styles. This is a family favorite of mine that pairs well with steak frites and usually makes an appearance on pizza night as well. The nose displays aromas of bright black cherries, followed by dusty cocoa and roasting coffee beans. Dense texture and a fine sense of balance enhance the flavors of blackberry, currants, vanilla bean, and dark chocolate.
