Tasting Notes

Bruno Rochard is a teacher turned winemaker in the Loire Valley. He has made an incredible, albeit wild red wine made from 100 year old vines of the local grape, Grolleau. Musk, leather and dark fruits are the name of the game here yet still medium-bodied and not forced in any way. A food wine, you name it.Bruno Took over his father's vineyards in the late 1990s and immediately started the conversion to natural winemaking. He downsized from 30 hectares to 6 hectares in order to realistically manage the entire domaine himself yet not sacrifice an ounce of quality.
