Persevero sounds a bit like he could be Prospero's twin brother who was a well behaved magician and didn't end up getting himself banished. Instead of inhabiting a remote island as punishment for his misdeeds, he reigns over a small winemaking operation in Saint-Emilion and is producing some classic and stellar Merlot and Cabernet Franc blends. This Saint-Emilion Grand Cru from Château la Grâce Fonrazade is definitely a bit of Right Bank magic. This is a full-bodied wine that is currently drinking like a more seasoned Mickey Mouse in Fantasia, as dramatic as Modest Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain. If you still think that you do not enjoy Merlot, or that all great Bordeaux wines contain Cabernet Sauvignon, please enjoy some of this and taste the magic.
