Grape Variety

Tasting Notes

A red wine made mostly from the structured Aglianico (80%) grape mixed with the local variety Piedirosso. Grown in volcanic soil in the area of Sessa Arunca in the province of Caserta. The wine is remarkably pure, structured yet also incredibly fruited in a thoughtful fashion. People have been drinking these wines for more than 2000 years and in fact, they were highly prized during Roman times. The winery, Masseria Felicia, was established by the Brini family in the early 1900s and is now owned by the great granddaughter of the founder.
