Wine made from organically or biodynamically grown grapes with minimal intervention avoiding the use of chemicals, additives and technology.
A great introduction to skin contact or "orange" wines. This is made from Falanghina grown on limestone soils, given 5 days of maceration on the skins developing into a deeply hued orange wine. Fermented with indigenous yeast, no filtering or fining and a small addition of sulfites at bottling only.
Yummmm. This hazy natural Falanghina from Puglia sees 5 days of skin contact and is a gorgeous deep orange in the glass. Born of calcerous limestone soils from which the vineyard gets its name, it's a juicy, accessible orange wine fit for many occasions. Pleasant notes of tangerine, melon, apricot, great texture and acidity, just delicious. Great for white meat or vegetarian dishes, and would stand alone beautifully as well. Nice intro to orange wine for the skeptics, but a real treat for all natural wine lovers: native yeasts, unfined and unfiltered, low in sulfites. Get on it!
A white variety cultivated in Italy's Campania region. It is believed to be an ingredient in the legendary Falernian, the wine of the ancient emperors. Today, it produces flavorful, fragrant wines, often having crisp apple and citrus flavors.
