Ribera del Duero is a great source for rich, luscious reds from northern Spain. More powerful than the wines of Rioja, these 100% Tempranillo wines blend sweet red fruit and spicy oak in a big chewy style that complements steaks and chops very well.
Ribera del Duero is a distinct style as much as it is a distinct region. Red wines made from Tinto de Pais, or Tempranillo, are aged in oak for extended periods of time resulting in powerful wines.
