Vincent Girardin's humble beginnings started in Santenay where he began producing wines with vines he had inherited from his parents, aiming to show the potential and unique character they possessed. Today, Eric Germain carries on the production in the style that Vincent so wished to present. Le Limouzin is a relatively young parcel in the commune of Meursault but it shows incredible promise. Using a pneumatic press to get a slow extraction, grapes undergo fermentation (including malo) with native yeasts in French oak, 15% of that being new barrels before final blending taking place in stainless steel. Lemon curd, salted butter, some salted almond, with a sculpted mineral character that further enhances the brightness of the wine, drinking with tons of vibrancy and integrated elements.
