Tasting Notes

A great example of the soft, silky texture for which Merlot is known. Concentrated aromas of earthy spice and cherries surround the senses. Tiny hints of pipe tobacco and spicy oak lend depth to the finish, which is reinforced by firm tannins.

Bogle Merlot is a wine that doesn’t require lots of thought, but will elicit lots of enjoyment. The nose offers notes of strawberry jam and spicy oak, while the palate is soft and dense. Bogle Merlot does very well on its own and does not need food to bring out its jammy, plump, plummy notes.
