Craig is the Southern Baptist minister who is widely considered the "Father of Bourbon" after discovering (likely out of lucky necessity) the flavors imparted by storing his whisky in charred oak barrels. This bourbon is firm, malty and sweet with apricot fruitiness and a long, smoky vanilla finish.
A great, classic Bourbon at a great price! Named after the Reverend Elijah Craig, the man who discovered the method of making true Kentucky Bourbon when he stored his whiskey in fire-charred barrels. It had the distinction of being a small batch premium Bourbon long before that term existed as we know it today. So many uses, so little time! Sipping it neat allows the beautiful bouquet to release notes of bananas Foster, coconut, vanilla, and brown sugar. The palate reveals sweet grains, caramel, vanilla, baking spices, and hint of citrus to keep it fresh. It's just as delicious on the rocks. And because the price won't break the bank, it's a guilt-free whiskey for cocktails. This is my go-to Bourbon for everything! Give it a try, it will quickly become yours too. -JBB
