Staff Pick Notes

This is a delightful blended scotch that's perfect for easy sipping and a great base for cocktails. Pig's Nose is a smooth but interesting up blend of Highland, Speyside, and two other regions designed to be both easy on the wallet and on the way down. On the nose, notes of malt, grain, toffee, heather, dried fruit, and soft peat are very expressive. The palate brings lots of malt, grain, and heather with a pleasant dose of soft peat smoke. Try it in the simple but delicious cocktail, Pig Ol' Bitties: 2oz Pig's Nose, 0.5oz Giffard Banane du Bresil, 1 dash Angostura bitters, 1 dash orange bitters. Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass over ice, strain into a chilled coupe, express an orange peel over the top and enjoy (recipe by Julian Cox).

Distilleries started to take out licenses, and since then, the distillation industry in Scotland has been continuously expanding....
