Irish Whiskey deserves more love. Not all single Malt whiskey needs to aggressively flavored and super concentrated. This is where a terrific entry-level spirit like Tyrconnel comes in to play. Soft fruit, notes of chocolate, vanilla and spice dance on the nose and palate, while the texture is soft and light on its feet. Drink it neat, or make a cocktail or two, but I enjoy it on the rocks, no fuss. It's also a single malt, while stull unusual, is becoming increasingly popular among Irish whiskey distillers.
