Tasting Notes

**The Big Field** The barrel ratio is 50% Sherry and 50% Bourbon, imparting notes of dark honey, cereal, orange, lemon, tea, cinnamon, and a splash of bitter chocolate on the finish. For a 12-year-old Scotch, this has a whole lot going on.

Staff Pick Notes

Like people, there are whiskies out there with a certain unrepentant style. They stand out in a crowd but that's because they flaunt what they’ve got. This whisky spends half its time in sherry casks and doesn’t mind showing some thigh to prove it with its rich and powerful aroma of pipe tobacco, figs, dark honey, and pressed vanilla. The palate is hedonistically creamy with notes of sugared berries, vanilla pudding, dark chocolate, and a pinch of tobacco. Don’t be surprised if you groan with elation on your first sip. This whisky knows who it is, and there’s a victory in that.
