Staff Pick Notes
Grown in what’s known as “Tequila Valley”, in the village of Amatitan, comes this Anejo Tequila from the well established Partida family. The combination of high altitude, rich red volcanic soil, and a steady warm temperature provide the ideal growing conditions for premium tequila. Aged for 18 months in used Jack Daniel’s barrels, the color on this tequila is a golden, light, copper orange. The high quality of the plants and the exceptional balance of the tequila allow pure agave notes of citrus, grass, and lime peel to come through as well as classic añejo flavors of caramel, banana, and spice. The rich soils impart a bright minerality and the mouth-feel is incredibly light from start to finish. Quite simply one of the best tequilas I’ve had in a while.
