A fun "kid dessert" that I have loved long past childhood is the root beer float. Still now in adulthood, I find myself indulging in them every now and then. Making a boozy version seemed like a no-brainer. For this version, you don't even need to buy ice cream. You need only three ingredients. Chairman's spiced rum is a lovely complement to the flavors of the root beer here with its complex cinnamon and bitter orange notes. Here's what's involved: 2oz Chairman's Spiced Rum 1.5-2oz whiskey crème liqueur of choice 6oz quality root beer soda Stir the first two over ice, slowly pour in the root beer to mix gently, and then sip it while enjoying the flavors of childhood with the perks of adulthood.
