This is one of our more special and unique spirits on our shelves. Made in Vermont by Todd Hardie who has been a bee keeper for more than forty years. He does cold fermentation of the raw honey for 3 weeks in order to preserve the subtle floral, delicate aromas and sublime flavors that are found naturally in Caledonia Country terroir.

Barr hill is unique in the craft spirits world. They started out as beekeepers who started distilling their own honey as a way of diversifying their own product line and making ends meet. As it turns out, their spirits became a full time job -- and for good reason, they're terrific. Their vodka is my personal favorite. we all know that vodka is out of fashion in the spirits trend setters, but this lovely little elixir is so well made, that it deserves our attention. Distilled directly from (not flavored with! Its an important distinction) their own farmed honey, it shows a velvety texture and a dash of sweetness that is skillfully integrated. Its delicious and shows that vodka can be more than flavorless dreck with a billion dollar marketing budget.
